Hi, I'm Keri Little, an executive photographer working with CEOs, boards and leadership teams across New Zealand and Australia.

I've spent more than 20 years photographing people professionally, but my understanding of the corporate world also comes from having worked inside it. Before building my photography practice full-time, I spent years working in senior corporate environments where I learnt how businesses operate, how decisions get made and how important credibility, communication and reputation become as your level of leadership grows.

That experience has shaped the way I work today.

I don't see executive photography as simply producing a good headshot. The people leading an organisation are increasingly visible across company websites, annual reports, LinkedIn, media, investor communications, speaking engagements and internal communications, and the imagery representing them has a job to do.

It needs to feel current. It needs to carry credibility and presence, but it also needs to feel recognisably like the person someone is eventually going to meet.

That's where my work begins.

I take the time to understand the person, their role, the organisation they're representing and where the imagery needs to work. From there, I create the right environment and guide the session without over-directing it, because I'm not interested in manufacturing a version of leadership for the camera. I'm looking for what is already there.

For an individual CEO or senior executive, that might mean creating a considered library of imagery that can support them across multiple professional contexts. For a board or leadership team, it means creating consistency across the organisation while still allowing each person to retain their individuality.

And importantly, I understand that the people I photograph are busy.

A premium experience shouldn't create another project for a CEO, EA or communications team to manage. I plan carefully, work efficiently and take responsibility for the details so the process feels straightforward from beginning to end. The photography may be highly considered, but the experience shouldn't feel complicated.

Alongside my photography work, I'm also the co-founder of LinkedInLocal Auckland, bringing hundreds of professionals together in person throughout the year. It has reinforced something I've always believed about my work: business is ultimately about people, relationships and the way we experience one another.

After more than two decades behind the camera, that's still what interests me most.

Not simply what somebody looks like, but how they show up.
